Machined Aluminium Face Plates

Sturdy aluminium face plates machined to run flat and true. You will need to select the correct shaft size and thread type.

Face plates are used for sanding, grinding or polishing.

For grinding you can glue on a no-hole diamond disk that are available in a variety of grit sizes from 100 through to 3000.

For sanding you can use disk adhesive to glue on a choice of silicon carbide or diamond disks. If you are sanding, you will require a rubber backing. Attaching the rubber backing provides enough drape to take out flat spots from cabochons. If you are trying to achieve flat surfaces then do not install rubber backing.

For final polishing you can use leather, felt, or a variety of synthetic disks.

If you plan to use it on the left side of your machine-get left hand threads, the right side-get right hand threads.
