Felt Points

Felt by far is the best material for most polishing tasks. It outperforms all other materials used for polishing gemstones, gold and silver jewellery, glass, plastic and just about any other material you can think of.

Felt's porosity accepts fine abrasive particles and continually presents an even, sharp, cutting action. The resiliency of felt helps to conform the polishing surface to the part and as felt wears; it always presents an identical medium for polishing compounds. These felts are medium to hard density and come in five sizes. All our felts have a 2.35mm diameter shaft and have a shaft length (including felt) of 50mm.

Diamond Plated Twist Drills

Diamond twist drills are used in a rotary tool .

It is always recommended to use a coolant (usually water) when working with these drill bits. This will help increase the life of the product and offer you a better value.

It is also recommended that you wear eye protection such as safety glasses.

Do not force the drill bit; let the diamond do the cutting.

These drills come in different sizes from 1.00mm to 2.50mm

Resharpen occasionally using an old carborundum wheel or one of our aluminium oxide wheels.

Diamond Plated Carving Burrs

All diamond plated burrs work best and last longest when used with a lubricant. These burrs come in a variety of shapes and grits. There is also a range of sintered burrs that are more expensive but the diamond is impregnated into the whole burr.
