Chrome Plated Brass Ball Valve 1/4

WATER SUPPLY BALL VALVE

High quality chrome plated brass ball valve. This is a great heavy duty option to replace plastic taps on cabbing machines and other lapidary machines that require a water supply.

Thread is 1/4" BSP.

The easiest way to install this is drill a hole and tap a 1/4" thread. You can then screw the tap into position.

We can also supply a 1/4" back nut for a more secure fitting, and a brass elbow with 1/8" barb to easily connect your water tubing to the valve.

A ball valve is a valve with a spherical disc, the part of the valve which controls the flow through it. The sphere has a hole, or port, through the middle so that when the port is in line with both ends of the valve, flow will occur. The ball in these valves is chrome plated steel.

When the valve is closed, the hole is perpendicular to the ends of the valve, and flow is blocked. The handle or lever will be inline with the port position letting you "see" the valve's position.

Ball valves are part of the family of quarter turn valves. Ball valves are durable and are used to achieve perfect shutoff even after years of disuse.They are therefore an excellent choice for shutoff applications.
