Faceting Lap Resurfacing

FACETING LAP RESURFACING

We are now able to re surface your old polishing and pre-polishing laps.
There is an inital fee of $15.00, this is because of the initial setup time. Once the lathe is tooled up, the process goes much faster.
After the set up fee it is $15.00 per side. 
For example if you wanted one side of your lap resurfaced it would cost $30.00. Both sides would be $45.00 
Any additional laps/sides sent to us in the one resurfacting batch will cost $15.00. Only the first lap out of the batch incurs the set up fee. 

Types of laps that can be re-surfaced include:

• Solid Copper Laps
• SLS Laminated Copper Laps (with a 3mm copper lamination)
• Type Metal Laps
• Solid Tin Laps
• Batt Laps
• Special Alloy Laps
• Phenolic Laps
• Zinc Laps

Some laps cannot be re-surfaced. This includes cheap Chinese laminated copper laps, as the copper surface is too thin.

Please note that laps that have been dropped on their edge may not be able to be re-surfaced. It will depend on the level of damage done to the metal and each one will have to be assessed individually.
