Select between the following shapes: 

Square: Square files have teeth on all four sides, small tapered file for filing flat, straight angles.

Barrette: With teeth on the flat side only, barrette files are ideal for all-purpose filing; the smooth back prevents removal of metal on adjacent surfaces.

Triangle: Three-square (triangle) files have teeth on three flat sides, ideal for filing point prongs on marquise- or pear-cut settings and sharp angles or creases in metal.

Half Round: Half round files are tapered in width and thickness, coming to a rounded point on the tip. They have teeth on both sides. Use for curved surfaces, corners, holes.

Round: Round files are tapered in width and thickness, coming to a rounded point on the tip. They have teeth all the way around. Use for rounded inside corners, holes.

Flat: Parallel in width & thickness with teeth on both sides. Ideal for flat surfaces.
